Local Community Grants

We provide grant opportunities that empower organizations to bring meaningful STEAM experiences to life in senior communities, fostering community engagement and promoting innovation in senior programs.

🔶 1. Local Financial Grants

We are developing a local grant program to support organizations pursuing innovative STEAM programming within their communities.

These grants will focus on:

- Encouraging new ideas and approaches

- Expanding access to STEAM experiences

- Supporting sustainable, community-driven and/or organizational programs

🔷 2. Project & Kit Grants

Our Project & Kit Grants are designed to help organizations bring hands-on STEAM experiences into their programs using curated materials and tools provided by STEAMwSeniors.

Organizations may apply to:

- Borrow reusable kits (robotics, technology tools, etc.)

- Receive consumable project kits (such as birdhouses and other hands-on builds)

More Than Just an Activity

These grants are not just about completing a project.

We encourage organizations to think beyond the activity and consider:

- How will this experience spark curiosity?

- What STEAM connections can be explored?

- How can participants engage in deeper thinking, creativity, or problem-solving?

- How might this activity be extended into additional conversations or learning opportunities?

Application Process

Organizations will complete a short application outlining:

- How the kit or materials will be used

- How the experience will go beyond a single activity

- How STEAM concepts will be incorporated

- The intended impact on participants

Through these STEAM education grants, we aim to support meaningful, thoughtful programming that encourages exploration, creativity, and connection—while empowering organizations to lead STEAM experiences within their own communities.
