Who We Are
STEAMwSeniors Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering those who serve older adults through engaging STEAM—science, technology, engineering, arts, and math—experiences that promote lifelong learning, creativity, and well-being.
Our work is guided by three core pillars: a Resource Hub, Guidance and Support, and Community Grants—each designed to expand access, build confidence, and create opportunities for engagement.
We partner with senior community leaders across independent living, assisted living, memory care, senior centers, and healthcare to foster lifelong learning, creativity, and connection.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. More importantly, STEAM reflects how the real world works—through connection, creativity, discovery, and collaboration. These disciplines are not isolated subjects; they work together every day to shape how we solve problems, communicate ideas, create innovations, and better understand the world around us.
We teach STEAM because it encourages curiosity, lifelong learning, meaningful engagement, and human connection. Through hands-on and purpose-driven experiences, STEAM can promote cognitive wellness, creativity, confidence, and social interaction for people of all ages.
We partner with colleges and institutions of higher education, local k-12 school districts, retirement centers and communities, and caregivers. Most importantly, we seek to form relationships with people and organizations to build purpose-built STEAM-based programs as a means to promote mental health and wellbeing.
We provide a range of support designed to help individuals, organizations, and communities bring meaningful STEAM experiences to older adults.
- Accessible STEAM resources for individuals, senior communities, and care providers to support hands-on, engaging learning experiences
- Guidance and consultation to help organizations develop, adapt, and implement STEAM programming that fits their unique setting
- Project and kit-based support through opportunities to access curated materials and tools for hands-on STEAM activities
- Community-focused grant opportunities (as available) that encourage innovation, creativity, and expanded access to STEAM experiences (Primarily focussed on the Harvey County, Kansas area)
